Round Two–Year of Reading at Your Mercy

I’m over halfway through David’s pick for my Year of Reading at Your Mercy, so I’m gonna gather up suggestions for my next read. David has passed Caterpillar duty over to Eva for now. (She has more enthusiasm for it.)¬† She pulled the following slip to select the next group I’ll ask for suggestions.

So I’ll be in contact, all you wonderful friends I met in college/Semester in Wales! Your spouses are in my sights too, if I happen to know them! Hee, hee, hee. (That was girly but evil laughter.) If you happen to be reading this post, and you happen to fit in the above group, feel free to comment with your reading pick. (Here are guidelines should¬†you need them.) If you’d rather not comment here, don’t fret. I’ll be in touch via Facebook or email. You will not escape. (Did you hear that girly but evil laughter again?)

I can’t’ wait to see the books I might be reading!

Two of my recent favorites:

“The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks” by Rebecca Skloot (though I imagine you may have already read it) and “At Home” by Bill Bryson.

Can’t wait to see what you choose!

I haven’t read either. Which one do you want me to put in the drawing? Thanks for playing with me! :)

Hmmm… This is a tough one. I feel like we have different reading tastes – but I guess that’s the point. If you haven’t already read it, I’ll suggest “Outlander” by Diana Gabaldon. If you have, I’ll suggest some British chick lit – “Getting Over It” by Anna Maxted.

I read and LOVED Outlander (swoon), Erin, so Getting Over it will go in the drawing. Thanks so much!

Glad to hear it’s time for Round II! If you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend ‘Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close’ by Jonathan Safran Foer. Each page is moving.

Keep us posted on how the year goes!

I haven’t read it, Ayappa, but I’ve heard good things about it. Thanks for playing with me!
